Cold at Notgrove.   Being Brave To look into the dark eyes of your soul and examine existence up close. To be prepared to ride the moving staircase of possible consequences. To undestand pain and joy are  two sides of the  same coin. To realize your future may be guarded by memories from the past. To continue to gaze at stars, catching rainbows in your mind whilst deepening that inward smile. Ck 20/02/'21 👴👴👴👴👴👴 Courtesy J.E. Lockdown Da y Bruised and battered; but not completely shattered, without too much delay I roll out of bed to face the day. Porridge, fruit and numerous pills satisfy all my medical ills. Something to do? Oh ,yes wait I’d better check the day and date. Check the calendar and give an ironic Hurray, I’ve drawn a blank - It’s another Lockdown Day! Ck 13/02/'21 👴👴👴👴👴👴 Holiday Pods and Barns on the horizon  Lent Season Though I may fail and oft repent whilst anymore than two  is a crowd. I will try during the month of Lent not to swear out aloud. Ck

Self-Portrait The Old Tree The wind of despair blew around the old tree. He looked forward to the re-assurance  of the Sun , warming  his gnarled bark These days he felt closer to his roots than his ageing branches. He longed, with a sigh for the short- lived vitality of blossom, where he felt pride and joined Cherry, Pear and Apple in a wavy cascade of colour These days, he looked at admiration at Chloe Cherry, who had reached a crown of maturity, within a few Season’s turn., whilst Arthur Apple and Pam Pear seemed a little reluctant to grow many rings. These days it was good to reach out with his root tendrils to Chloe; Arthur and Pam and share a bit sap with them. This day the Old Tree was shutting down for Winter and living with the wisdom of his ring memories. He would try to grow upwards when Spring arrived.                                                               🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲  The Unfinished Symphony I am marooned in the past all my heroes lashed to the mast.
