Flower Power: Painting The Lavender.

On 2nd August 2013, D. and I visited the National Trust property Hidcote Manor.
The garden borders were bright and verdant; a little different from when we last visited in April.

Some colours for you to admire.

FfffffffffffffFfffffffffffffff

Last Wednesday (7 / 8 ) D. and  I were at another NT property; ' Great Charfield Manor and Garden. '

The above fun picture, was taken in the tea and coffee barn and shows a visual display of the garden, including a rolling DVD of the seasons at Charfield.

The garden borders, like Hidcote were full of high summer colour.

We were not able to view all of the garden, because the location was being used by Channel Four for a period costume drama set in the late seventeenth century.

We were told by the NT lady, in the entrance tent, that the film people had to paint the lavender, owing to the colour having gone over. Interesting !

The company at work; replete with costume.

FffffffffffffffffffFffffffF

It seems a promising week ahead, with settled temperatures and the start of the football Premier League next weekend.
Have Fun.
Cheerio,
Ck.
